We are researching and evaluating the technical aspects of nuclear cardiology. For instance, FDG-PET is considered useful for myocardial viability assessment, and the newly developed reconstruction algorithm (BSREM) shows relevant improvement in image quality compared with the OSEM reconstruction in PET/CT studies. There is a noticeable difference between OSEM and BSREM in viability assessment. Thus, we are seeking a new standard for myocardial viability determination in cardiac PET studies .
