Overview

Imaging lung function by HPXe MRI HPXe MRI system allows us to visualize lung function as well as image the lung cavity.

  • Attempts to develop a novel hyperpolarized 129Xe (HPXe) MRI system with increased sensitivity.
  • This HPXe MRI system allows lung cavity imaging and lung function observation, which are difficult to accomplish using proton MRI.
  • Attempts to apply the HPXe MRI system to diagnose various lung diseases, particularly lung cancer.
