Overview

Our research focuses on "challenging cancer with the power of immunity" and discerning "why cancer occurs."

Cancer Immunity: Our focus is on the peptide-based cancer therapeutic vaccine “WT1 peptide vaccine.” We are attempting to enhance anti-tumor immune responses in patients with cancer and develop simple but reliable immune monitoring biomarkers for cancer immune therapy.

Mechanism of cancer development and malignant transformation: Why does cancer occur? We aim to clarify the oncogenic functions of the Wilms’ tumor gene WT1 and develop novel molecular-targeted oncotherapies targeting this gene.
