This time, I plan to post the Hui Lab Newsletter in two parts.
On September 24th, members from our Japanese group came to visit us here at City of Hope!
After arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, we visited IN-N-OUT, Griffith Observatory, and Madame Tussauds Hollywood, and in the evening we held a home party at our place.
Since the beginning of our stay abroad, we have had meetings with both Dr. Takahashi and Dr. Hui, but this was the first time that members from both labs met face-to-face.
It was truly a valuable experience to have such an opportunity.
We hope to continue the interaction between the Takahashi Lab and Hui Lab, fostering a mutually stimulating relationship in research.
We will also keep doing our best to serve as a bridge between the two labs.

9月24日には、日本組がここ City of Hope に遊びに来てくれました！
ロサンゼルス国際空港に到着後、IN-N-OUT、グリフィス天文台、マダム・タッソー・ハリウッドを観光し、夜には私たちの自宅でホームパーティーを開きました。

翌9月25日には、City of Hope にて合同ラボミーティングが開催されました。
ミーティング前には、昼食をとりながら和やかな雰囲気で自己紹介を行いました。
ミーティングでは、私たちが Hui Lab で取り組んでいる研究テーマや、ラボメンバーの研究内容を共有しました。
また、日本組からは 奥内さん(D2)と津田さん(D1)がそれぞれ自身の研究発表を行ってくれました。
Hui Lab メンバー、そして Hui先生 からも活発な質問や議論が交わされ、とても有意義な時間となりました。
The following day, on September 25th, we held a joint lab meeting at City of Hope.
Before the meeting, we had lunch together and introduced ourselves in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
During the meeting, we shared the research projects currently being conducted in Hui Lab as well as each member’s ongoing work.
From the Japanese side, Ms. Okuutchi (D2) and Ms. Tsuda (D1) each gave a presentation on their research.
We had active discussions and many insightful questions from Hui Lab members and Dr. Hui, making it a very productive and inspiring session.
私たちが留学を開始して以来、私たちは高橋先生とHui先生を交えたミーティングはしていましたが、両ラボのメンバーが直接顔を合わせるのは今回が初めてでした。
このような機会を得られたことは非常に貴重な経験だったと思います。
今後も 高橋研 と Hui Lab の交流を継続し、互いに研究面で刺激し合える関係を築いていけると良いですね。
私たちもその懸け橋となれるよう、引き続き努力していきます。
